You may have edge use cases, or non-telephony devices, that rely on features of the analogue network, such as CCTV systems, alarm lines, lift lines, emergency lines, Telecare devices, payment lines and terminals, door entry systems and telemetry devices.
Pre-Digital Phone Line (PDPL) is a temporary solution that enables you to keep legacy handsets and equipment while moving off the PSTN. You should still migrate to All-IP solutions wherever possible.
