Have you mistakenly deleted some of your contacts in BT Yahoo Mail? Or found that they've been deleted as a result of your account being compromised? The good news is that you should now be able to recover them pretty easily.
We periodically take a snapshot of your contacts folder. So when you ask us to recover deleted contacts we can recover them to the point when the last snapshot was taken. Just be aware that if you've added contacts since the last snapshot, they may be lost in the recovery. So it's a good idea to make a note of any recent contacts before you try to recover your contacts folder.
To recover lost or deleted contacts:
- Select the Contacts icon form the top left hand corner of the Toolbar and then the "Deleted Contacts" link that will be displayed in the menu
- You've now got two options. You can either click "Actions" from the Toolbar and then select the option to "Restore from backup" from the drop-down list that appears or you can select the "Restore from backup" link that appears on the main page
- From the pop-up window, click the arrow. From the drop-down box select the date and time to which you'd like to revert. Click the Restore button
- You'll see a confirmation message. You should now be able to view your restored contacts from the Contacts tab
