Since its beginnings as the Post Office Research Station, this site has been a beacon for digital progress, shaping not just our journey but the entire UK’s digital future. The groundbreaking work done here - from pioneering Europe’s first fibre optic phone call and leading breakthroughs in copper and fibre broadband to current research in AI, cybersecurity, and quantum communications - has transformed how we all live and work.
Today, Adastral Park remains central to our mission, housing our network operations centre, driving world-class research, and inspiring the next generation of technologists through global partnerships. We look forward to the next chapter of innovation that will continue to power the UK through connectivity.
