BT X.25 Direct provides a physical data line connecting premises to the BT data network, offering rapid connectivity for terminals amd mainframes, this service also allows multiple remote users to send and receive data, simultaneously, from any location, at speeds ranging from 2.4 to 256 Kbit/s.

Two tariff structures exist:

Tariff A applies to maturer customer networks

Tariff B is used for new and more recent networks
