BT Halo mobile benefits will continue to be available to existing customers with under contract who already have them. Unfortunately, existing customers cannot add the benefits to their plan for the first time, neither can new BT Mobile customers.
As a benefit of Halo, we'll double the data on your mobile plan. So, if you're on a 6GB plan, you'll automatically get 12GB.
Your basic plan remains the same, 6GB for example. But you'll be able to see it's been doubled in the Halo benefits section of your bill and in My BT and the My BT app.
This plan offers exactly what it says - no limits on your mobile, home phone and broadband.
It gives you unlimited mobile data, so there's no need to worry about data caps or unexpected bills. And you can call as many UK mobile and landline numbers from your home phone and mobile as you like, any time.

When you join BT Mobile you'll get standard 4G speeds that peak at 30Mbps and you can upgrade to Extra Speed 4G, which peaks at 60Mbps. With BT Halo, you'll get our fastest 4G speeds. These peak at 90Mbps and are the fastest 4G speeds available on our network. The speeds you get will vary, but our fastest 4G could be up to three times faster than our standard 4G.
All of our SIM Only plans bought since 1 September 2020 come with SIMs that are 5G ready, so you’re all set to make the most of everything 5G has to offer. You just need to use the SIM in a 5G device and be in a 5G area.
All of our Family SIM plans bought since 13 November 2020 come with SIMs that are 5G ready. To make the most of everything 5G has to offer, you need to use the SIMs in a 5G device and be in a 5G area.
If you bought a 5G device handset plan before 1 September 2020 and you're in a 5G area, you can get speeds that are around 10 times faster than 4G.
You'll get the Halo mobile benefits on every BT Mobile plan on the same account as the Halo broadband plan. It doesn't matter if it's a handset, SIM or Family SIM.

You'll keep your Halo benefits as long as you keep your Halo broadband package. Your double data mobile benefit will automatically update based on the mobile plan you're on.
If you're paying for the Extra Speed 4G/5G add-on, we'll replace this with the fastest 4G speed benefit and give you an even faster speed at no extra charge. And we'll refund any advance charges that you've already paid for the Extra Speed 4G/5G add-on.
Make sure you've downloaded the latest version of the My BT app to get the most out of Halo.
If you’re using an old version of the app, it may not show your double data mobile benefit. To check which version you have, tap the Help icon in the top right corner and then About the app. You’ll need version 2.62.1 or above. If you have an older version, please check your App Store to see if an update is available.
To install the latest version of the app, you need to be on at least iOS 9.0 for iPhones/iPads or Android 5.0 (Lollipop) for Android phones. If your phone is more than three or four years old, you may not be able to update to these operating systems, so won’t be able to download the latest version of the app. However, you can still view your updated benefit through the My BT app, which you can find in your App Store, or by logging into My BT, scrolling down to My Package and selecting Mobile.
