Problems with your Sky card or box watching TNT Sports

If you're having problems with your Sky viewing card while trying to watch TNT Sports, choose from the options below to get help.

My Sky box says...

New TNT Sports customers

Have you ordered TNT Sports? Remember, your Sky viewing card must be in the box before you order TNT Sports on Sky >

If you've already ordered TNT Sports, it can take up to 24 hours from when you order it for you to receive the channels. You can track your order here or check My BT to confirm that you have the package.

If you ordered TNT Sports more than 24 hours ago and still can't get the channels

  1. Check any other satellite channels that you subscribe to and make sure they are working. If they're not then you'll need to speak to your satellite provider
  2. Make sure your viewing card is paired with your Sky box
  3. Visit www.skyviewinghelp.com and complete the form
  4. Reboot your box and see if you can see the TNT Sports channels

If you're still having problems after following these steps, please contact us using the button at the bottom of the page.

Existing TNT Sports customers

  • Were you previously able to watch TNT Sports on Sky?
  • Have you recently received a new viewing card from Sky?
  • If so, you'll need to activate your new viewing card - we'll still have the old one registered. Go to www.bt.com/sport/swapcard >

Please go to https://www.sky.com/help/articles/wrong-viewing-card-error-message for an explanation of Sky error messages about viewing cards.

Re-pair your viewing card by clicking on the Re-Pair my Sky viewing card? option in the 'How do I?...' list below and following the steps. If this doesn't solve the problem, please reboot your set top box.

If the problem persists, Contact Us to replace your viewing card.

If you're getting this message it means that the card in the set top box is no longer valid and can be thrown away. You should’ve received a new Sky viewing card which must be inserted in the direction of the arrows, with the gold chip facing down. If you don’t have a new viewing card, please speak to the company who've ordered your replacement.

If you’ve received a new card, you might need to pair it to your Sky box. You can do this by clicking on the Re-Pair my Sky viewing card? option in the 'How do I?...' list below and following the steps.

If the message is still showing once you've inserted the card, there might be an issue with the set top box. Try rebooting your set top box and retesting. If you have the same problem, you'll need to contact your satellite TV provider.

The viewing card you're using isn't active. If you've been sent a replacement card, please insert it into your Sky set top box, with the gold chip facing down.

If this doesn't fix the problem, please call us on 0800 111 4567.

Click on the Re-Pair my Sky viewing card? option in the 'How do I?...' list below and follow the steps.

How do I...

To watch TNT Sports on a Sky box, the card has to be paired to the right box. For an explanation of viewing cards and boxes, see Sky help here. Normally pairing is performed during initial set up.

If you're getting a message such as “This is the wrong card for the box ”, then you need to re-pair your viewing card to your box.

The preferred way to do this is to have your box connected either via telephone or broadband. A description on how to do this is on Sky’s website - Set up your Sky box >

Alternatively, you can contact BT or Sky. If you're a Sky subscriber, you can do this by following the instructions on Sky's website >

To pair your card via BT, please click on Contact Us at the bottom of the page. You'll need the Sky viewing card number and version number, and the serial number of your box. These can all be found through the Services menu option on the box using the Sky remote control.

Were you able to watch TNT Sports on Sky, but now it doesn't work? Have you recently received a new viewing card from Sky?

If you've recently received a new Sky viewing card you'll need to swap it over for your old one.

If you're a Sky Q customer, get in touch with us using the Chat now button at the bottom of the page and we'll sort it out.

If you're not a Sky Q customer, you can easily swap your cards online at www.bt.com/sport/swapcard >

It only takes a couple of minutes. All you need is your old and new viewing card numbers, along with your BT ID and password. We need your BT ID (and not your Sky account details) because you'll be updating your viewing card information with us at TNT Sports, regardless of who provides your other TV services.

I've forgotten My BT login details (BT ID) >

Don't worry if you don't have your BT ID. You can also use your BT Account number from the top of your BT Bill and your post code to swap your cards.

Where do I find my BT account number? >

If you're having problems swapping your card online, please get in touch using the Chat now button at the bottom of the page.
