Subpart 1:BT Chargecard

BT Chargecard is a calling card service enabling call charges to be debited to a nominated BT telephone account, to a payment card or to a UK bank account via direct debit.

There are three access service levels,

Contact card-holders may make calls only to pre-selected numbers

National card-holders may make calls only within the UK

International card -holders may make calls to destinations within the UK and internationally

Eligibility

All customers with a BT telephone account, major payment card or UK bank account

Additional Information

Daytime rates apply between 6am to 6pm inclusive, Monday to Friday. Evening & Night-time rates apply between 6pm and 6am inclusive Monday to Friday. Weekend rates apply all day Saturday and Sunday.

Calls which can be made free of charge when dialled direct will be charged at National rate when the call is made with a Chargecard. This applies both to calls made within the UK and to inbound calls from overseas to the UK.

Calls made to BT Helpdesk 0800 731 2494 and 0800 345 144, from within the UK (but not from overseas) are, however, free of charge.

Business Discounts

The following discounts and commitment schemes are available on all BT Chargecard direct dialled calls, billed to a BT business telephone line (but not on calls to INMARSAT Terminals or Global Mobile Satellite Systems): Business Choices, Corporate Choices, Key Numbers, Key Contact and BT Commitment.

For condition and level of discounts see Section 3 Part 2 Calls billed to a payment card are eligible for Business Choices, Corporate Choices and BT Commitment discounts. BT Chargecard calls using a commercial payment (credit) card, receive discounts on all direct dialled calls at a rate that is 2.5 percentage points below the normal BT Chargecard discount rate.
