A Collect Call is an international reverse charge call. It is paid for by the person receiving the call rather than the one making it. This Part contains charges for Collect calls from overseas to BT lines in the UK.
A Collect Call can be made through the local overseas operator, or, where it is available, via BT Direct. Collect Calls from the Republic of Ireland to Northern Ireland are charged as Inland Reverse Charge calls, which are listed in Section 39
Eligibility
Collect Calls can be made to any ordinary line in the United Kingdom, but not to mobile, pager, Freefone, number translation service numbers (such as 0800, 0845 and 0870),or payphone numbers.

Collect Calls From Overseas Countries to the UK, (Except Republic of Ireland Collect Calls to Northern Ireland)
Call charges are for each minute or part of a minute. There is also a Collect Call Service Charge, which is a fixed amount for each call. This is added to the call charge. The minimum charge is for five minutes. There is no charge if the call cannot be connected. For an explanation of which countries are covered by each Collect Charge Band, these are shown at the end of this part of this Section of the BT Price List.

The called person must agree to pay for the call before it is connected.
Additional Information
Charges for Collect Calls from the UK to overseas are controlled by the Telecommunications Operator in the country concerned and are not listed here.
The call charge is rounded up to a whole penny. The timed duration of a call includes the time element for setting up and disconnecting the call on the BT network.
