Dialled Call Charges

Details of the price per minute for dialled calls (including and excluding VAT) are contained within 2, 3 Section 55 and Section 56, The price of a call depends on the time of day (daytime, evenings & night-time or weekends), the destination of the call (local, national, international) and its duration. The timed duration of a call begins only when the called party answers. Exclusions to this basis of charging are free calls, capped calls and fixed price duration calls offered by some discount schemes in Section 55 and Section 56.

Residential Lines

Daytime; Mon-Fri, 6am-6pm.

Evenings & night-time; Mon-Fri before 6am & after 6pm.

Weekend; All Day Sat & Sun

Business Lines

Daytime; Mon-Fri, 7am-7pm.

Evenings & night-time; Mon-Fri before 7am & after 7pm.

Weekend; All Day Sat & Sun

Call Charge Rounding - Residential Customers - VAT Exclusive Billing (except for Light User Scheme, and BT Standard rate customers)

Each call charge will be rounded up to a whole penny, except for call charges to non-Mobile 07x numbers which will be rounded up to a tenth of a penny. Fixed Fee prices where duration charges do not apply will be rounded up to a tenth of a penny. The total call bill will then be rounded up to the next whole penny before VAT is added. VAT will be calculated up to the next whole penny.

Call Charge Rounding - Residential Customers - VAT Inclusive Billing (except for BT Basic customers)

Each call charge will be rounded up to a whole penny, except for call charges to non-Mobile 07x numbers which will be rounded up to a tenth of a penny. Fixed Fee prices where duration charges do not apply will be rounded up to a tenth of a penny. The total call bill will then be rounded to the nearest whole penny.

Call Charge Rounding - Residential - Light User Scheme and BT Standard rate customers - VAT Exclusive Billing

Each call charge will be rounded up to half a penny, except for calls to Number Translation Services (NTS but excluding 0870 numbers) which will be rounded up to a tenth of a penny. Calls to mobiles using NTS will be rounded up to half a penny. Fixed Fee prices where duration charges do not apply will be rounded up to a tenth of a penny. The total call bill will then be rounded up to the next whole penny before VAT is added. VAT will be calculated up to the next whole penny.

Call Charge Rounding - Residential - BT Basic Customers - VAT Inclusive Billing

Each call charge will be rounded up to half a penny except for calls to Number Translation Services (NTS but excluding 0870 numbers) which will be rounded up to a tenth of a penny. Calls to mobiles using NTS will be rounded up to half a penny. Fixed Fee Prices where duration charges do not apply will be rounded up to a tenth of a penny. The total call bill will then be rounded to the nearest whole penny.

Duration Rounding - All Residential Customers

The duration of the following call types will be rounded up to the next whole minute

Inland geographic Calls (including g21 rate, 0870 and ISDN64k calls)

Calls from Northern Ireland to the Irish Republic

Calls to Channel Islands

Fixed-to-mobile calls (excluding ISDN 64k)

International Calls (including calls to international mobiles but excluding ISDN 64k and satellite calls e.g Inmarsat)

The above call types from Private Payphones

The above Call types via Operator Assistance (specially assisted)

All other call types will be rounded up to the next whole second unless otherwise stated in the relevant section of the Price List.

Call Set-up Fee - All Residential Customers (except for, Light User Scheme, BT Basic and BT Standard rate customers

A Call Set-Up Fee of 7.869pence (exc VAT), 9.05 pence (inc VAT) will apply to the Call Types listed below.

Call Set-Up Fee - Light User Scheme, BT Basic and BT Standard rate customers

A call set up fee of 2.55pence (ex VAT), 2.94pence (inc VAT) will apply to the Call Types listed below.

Applicable Set-Up Fee call types (for all Residential customers):

Inland geographic Calls (including g21 rate and ISDN64k calls)

Calls from Northern Ireland to the Irish Republic

Calls to Channel Islands

08xx and 09xx numbers (excluding fixed fee premium rate numbers)

Fixed-to-mobile calls (excluding ISDN 64k)

Except in the following cases or unless otherwise stated in the relevant section of the Price List:-

Freefone calls

UK Day, Evening and Weekend geographic, 0870, g21 rate and Local NTS calls where the pence per minute (ppm) rate has been set to zero for the first hour of each call (or to such calls which start within the uncharged period but end after the uncharged period)

Fixed rate UK calls on Unlimited Weekend Plan

Fixed fee calls Calls charged by Time duration which start with a Fixed fee.

Personal Numbering, Paging, Multimedia and Fixed to WiFi Services, for which a minimum call charge of 4.6pence exc VAT , 5.3 pence inc VAT applies

Business Customers

Call Duration Rounding - Business Customers

The duration of calls will be rounded up to the next whole minute - Standard Rates, BT Business Choices(including Business Advantage), Business Advantage Plus, BT Business Reward, BT Business Plan (Annual Nominal Committed Call Spend up to £5000.00), BT Business Plan Lite, BT Business Plan (CR) and BT Business One Plan Inclusive, BT Business One Plan Plus Inclusive and BT Business One Plan Traditional Inclusive.

The duration of calls will be rounded up to the next thirty seconds - BT Business One Plan, BT Business One Plan Plus, BT Business One Plan Traditional and BT Business BroadbandVoIP VoiceServices.

The duration of calls will be rounded up to the next fifteen seconds - BT Business Plan (Annual Nominal Committed Call Spend greater than £5000.00).

Exceptions where calls are rounded up to the next whole second are:

BT Customer Commitment

BT Call Centre Advance

BT Premier Value

Call types within Special Offers (unless otherwise stated)

Call Types-Calls to Premium Rate Service (09 numbers), Directory Enquiries (118 numbers), ISDN 64kbit/s Data Calls to Mobile telephones and Satellite Calls (e.g. Inmarsat) will be rounded up to the next whole second in all products.

Embark and Featureline Corporate calls packages

    The duration of all other call types will be rounded up as stated in the relevant section of the Price List
.

Call Charge Rounding - Business Customers

All calls charged at either standard rates or within the following options: BT Business Choices (including Business Advantage), BT Working Together for Business, Business Advantage Plus, BT Together for Business BT Business Plan, BT Business Plan Lite, BT Customer Committment and BT Business Plan (CR); will be rounded up to the next whole penny.

Calls on, BT Business One Plan, , including BT Business One Plan Inclusive, BT Business One Plan Plus Inclusive and BT Business One Plan Traditional Inclusive, BT Business Reward, BT Call Centre Advance and BT Business BroadBandVoIP VoiceServices will be rounded up to half a penny.

Exceptions where calls are rounded up to the next tenth of a penny are:

BT Premier Value.

Customers with BT Business Plan Special Offers, BT Customer Commitment Special Offers and BT One Plan Special offers (unless otherwise stated) will have all of their calls rounded up to a tenth of a penny.

Embark & Featureline Corporate calls packages

    Total Call Bill - Business Customers .

The total call bill will then be rounded up to the next whole penny.

Minimum Call Charge - Business Customers

There will be no Minimum Call Charge for Business Customers except for Number Translation Services (i.e 08xx number ranges but excluding 0870) and Premium Rate Services (i.e 09xx number ranges), Embark and Featureline Corporate or unless specified elsewhere in the Price List. The Minimum Call Charge is 5p(ex VAT) with the exception of Embark & Featureline Corporate which is detailed in section 21, part 2

Call Set-up Fee - Business Customers

The price of a call will be the Call Set-up Fee of 8.0pence (exc VAT) per call plus the pence per minute rate as specified in the Price List. The Call Set-up Fee will apply to all calls charged at standard rates with the exception of:

Number Translation Service (i.e 08xx number range but excluding 0870) and Premium Rate Service (i.e 09xx number range)

Freefone

International ISDN 64k Calls

Inland Fixed to Mobile ISDN 64k Calls

Fixed to WiFi Services

Satellite Calls (e.g Inmarsat)

Fixed fee calls

Calls Charged by Time duration which start with a Fixed fee

Call types or services where the relevant entry in the Price List states that the Call Set-up Fee does not apply or an alternative Set-up Fee or minimum call charge applies.

Calls to Specialised Services

There are also separate prices for calls to specialised services, such as Premium Rate Services, calls to mobile telephones and calls to Information Services. Calls to these destinations are charged at the same rates from all UK locations. The telephone numbers affected and their charge rates are listed in 211, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 of the BT Price List.

Customer Discount Scheme

Customers who have joined a Customer Discount Scheme will receive discounts on the price of calls appropriate to the scheme as detailed in 3 and 36
