Subpart 4:LAN Extension Services

This document provides rental pricing information for all LAN Extension Services, including Star network options.

Eligibility

Available nationally within the UK to all customers requiring interconnection of Local Area Networks (LANs) from 10Mb/s to 10Gb/s.

Pricing Information

All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT.

Prices are based on a fixed charge for each Local End and a Main Link charge calculated on the radial distance between the local serving exchanges. Main Link charges do not apply for circuits within the same local serving exchange area.

Connection and Rental Charges

Connection Charges

These services are no longer available for new supply and therefore connection charges are no longer available.

Annual Rental

Annual rental is charged either quarterly or annually in advance.

Future Subsequent Circuits

For services ordered between existing sites at a future date, the Additional/Subsequent Circuit charge for Standard LES 2, LES 10, LES 100, LES 155B, LES 622B and LES 1000 services will apply (for details see information contained in this Part).

Shift Charges

Please note that external shifts are not available.

Internal shifts (within the building) are allowed and are priced on a time and materials basis.

Regrade Charges

See Subpart 6: for the prevailing regrade charges applicable to LES 2, LES 10, LES 100, LES 155, LES 622 and LES 1000 services.

Ancillary Charges

Charges for infrastructure over and above standard requirements are given in Section 45 Part 1 . These charges include work on internal trunking & traywork; breaking through walls; additional poles, ducts and cables; radio charges and miscellaneous non-standard or specially requested items.

Conditions

Service is provided under BT's "Conditions for Private Services".

The standard 60 working days provision lead-time applies. All orders taken for the provision of Star Networks are subject to feasibility checks to ensure that service can be provided. Where service cannot be provided, the order will be cancelled without liability.

Contract Options

BT's Conditions for Private Services apply to Short Haul Data Services. The relevant contract options can be found at Section 12 Part 8 of the Price List .
