ISDN30 I421 is being completely retired in 2007. In most areas this is expected to take place on July 31st 2007, but in some parts of the country this may be at an earlier date.
Customers affected by an earlier retirement date will be notified in advance. On retirement, telephony service and features of ISDN30 I421 will no longer be available to existing Customers. Rental and any other related charges will no longer be applied. (This note will be updated with any change to the retirement date should this arise)
From August 18th 2006, Customers terminating their ISDN30 I421 Contracts within the Minimum Period will not be liable to pay early termination charges. This applies to 1 year as well as to 3 and 5 year long term Contracts.
Customers who have not ordered an alternative service or notified BT to terminate their Contract by 31 July 2007 will have their ISDN30 i421 line upgraded to an ISDN30e line between 31 July and 31 December 2007.
It will not be possible to upgrade all customers at the same time but this upgrade will take place at no extra charge (unless the customer requires the upgrade to be carried out at a specified time out of hours) during evenings within the period 31 July to 31 December 2007.
Where the customer requires the upgrade to be carried out at a specified time out of hours time related charges may apply as set out in BT's Price List (see Section15 Part7 ).
Until the upgrade has taken place, customers will continue to receive ISDN30 i421.
For customers currently with more than 12 months of their existing Minimum Term, the Contract will continue for the remainder of the Minimum Term. For customers out of their original Minimum Term or with less than 12 months unexpired of their existing Minimum Term, the upgraded service will be provided on a 12 month Minimum Term.
See Subpart titled `Conversion to ISDN30e from Dass2 or I421' later in this Part for charges that apply to Customers converting from ISDN30 I421 to ISDN30e.
