Section 1:Exchange Lines

Part 26:BT ISDN 2, ISDN 2e (ETSI) (Integrated Services Digital Network), ISDN2 DASS2 has been withdrawn from New Supply with Effect From 10 April 2006). (ISDNConnect was retired on 28th September 2007. Business Highway was retired 31st July 2008 and Home Highway was retired on 28th February 2007 please see Section 1 Part 34 Subpart 2 for further information)

Subpart 1:BT ISDN 2, ISDN 2E, Access Charges Connection and Rental

THE ISDN 2, ISDN 2e AND HIGHWAY SERVICE CONSISTS OF ONE LINE WITH TWO CHANNELS.

SINGLE CHANNELS ARE NOT AVAILABLE.

The ISDN 2/Highway service consists of two channels. However, because each channel attracts a separate CSS ID Code, they are listed below individually. ON NO ACCOUNT CAN A CUSTOMER BE ALLOWED TO HAVE ONE CHANNEL ONLY,

ISDN2 (DASS2) AND BUSINESS HIGHWAY PRODUCT RETIREMENT NOTICE

ISDN2 (DASS2) and Business Highway are being completely retired in 2008. In most areas this is expected to take place on March 31st 2008, but in some parts of the country this may be at an earlier date.

Service withdrawn from 31 March 2008. Service Removal Programme in Operation.

Customers affected by an earlier retirement date will be notified in advance. On retirement, telephony services and features of ISDN2 (DASS2) and Business Highway will no longer be available to existing Customers. Rental and any other related charges will no longer be applied. (This note will be updated with any change to the retirement dates should this arise)

From August 18th 2006, Customers terminating their ISDN2 (DASS2) and/or Business Highway Contracts within the Minimum Period will not be liable to pay early termination charges. This applies to 1 year as well as to 3 and 5 year long term Contracts.

See Subpart titled `BT ISDN 2E Upgrade from ISDN2' later in this Part for charges that apply to Customers converting from ISDN2 to ISDN2e and/or from Business Highway to ISDN2e.

ISDN2 Call Plan Plus Product Withdrawal

ISDN2 Call Plan Plus is being withdrawn on 3rd August 2009. On withdrawal, telephony services and features of ISDN2 Call Plan Plus will no longer be available to any Customer. Rental and any other related charges will no longer be applied.

Home Highway Product Retirement Notice

Home Highway was withdrawn from 28th February 2007,

Customers affected by an earlier retirement date will be notified in advance. On retirement, telephony and features of Home Highway will no longer be available to existing Customers. Rental and any other related charges will no longer be applied.

Permanent Service

The BT Highway service is presented to the customer via Network Termination Equipment box (the NTE) This is the end-point of the BT service - any wiring/cabling provided in conjunction with the service, beyond the NTE, is the property of the customer and is not the responsibility of BT. It is not covered by any warranty or guarantee or otherwise implied.

Charges for infrastructure over and above standard requirements are given in Section 45 Part 1 These charges include work on internal trunking & traywork; breaking through walls; additional poles, ducts and cables; radio charges and miscellaneous non-standard or specially requested items.

If service is required at a Non-Served premises. See Section Part 5

This service is not available on PSTN split line voice service.

Monthly Payment Plan and Direct Debit Payment Methods

Customers opting for Monthly Payment Plan or Direct Debit as a means of payment will have to settle their outstanding bill at the time of changing their payment method in order to receive a reduced rental. If the outstanding bill is not settled at this time, the reduced rental will be given after the standard bill roll-in period has elapsed.
