Section 37:Internet and Multimedia Services

Part 2:BT Click

Subpart 1:Product Description(a)(b)

BT Click provides dial up access to the Internet without the need for registration or payment of monthly internet account fees. Calls to BT Click are charged to the Customer's standard telephone bill on a per second basis, subject to a minimum call charge.

Customers need a computer, equipped with a modem or ISDN terminal adapter and suitable software (eg. internet browsing software).

Access to BT Click can be obtained by configuring your computer to dial one of the BT Click Access Numbers, or by using BT Click Software. The BT Click Software is available from a number of sources including BT, or the BT Click web site (www.btclick.net.).

Calls to BT Click will only give access to the Internet if Customer Calling Line Identification (CLI) has been forwarded.

BT Click enables access to the Internet. The Internet is independent of BT Click and BT, and use of the Internet is solely at the Customer's risk and subject to all applicable laws. BT has no responsibility for any information, software, services or other materials obtained by the Customer using the Internet.

If the person accessing BT Click is not the Customer responsible for the call charges, then it is the responsibility of that person to obtain permission to use BT Click from the Customer responsible for the particular Telephone Service before it is used to access BT Click.

Subpart 2:Charges

Calls from BT lines will be charged in accordance with the call charges applicable to the dialled number for 0870 090 numbers or 0845 numbers as defined in Section 2, Part 1 of the BT Price List. For users of the BT Click software, the dialled number is obtainable by checking the BT Click configuration information. Calls from Other Licenced Operator lines will be charged in accordance with the other Licenced Operator tariffs for calls to the dialled number.

BT also markets BT Click through a range of third parties. In these instances the internet access is provided by BT Click and is branded as 'Powered by BT Click'. The standard BT Click Terms and Conditions will apply.

The BT Click third party marketing programme is available to organisations who are able to attract a significant number of active users to BT Click. Third parties are paid a commission expressed as a percentage of the call revenues generated by calls to the dial up access number they are allocated. BT's consideration as to whether to enter into a third party marketing arrangement with any third party will depend upon the individual proposition and market opportunity offered by the third party, and factors such as the likely impact on BT's brand of the third party's activities.

Third parties interested in finding out more about BT's third party marketing programme for BT Click should in the first instance contact their BT account manager.

Notes

(a) BT Click is provided to Customer's under their existing Contract for Telephone Service. Separate terms and conditions apply to the BT Click software available from the BT Click web site (www.btclick.net) and other sources.

(b) Customers will be charged for calls where access to the Internet has been refused during the authentication process. Reasons for refusing access to the Internet can include, but are not limited to: withholding Calling Line Identification; incorrect configuration of the caller's computer and/or software; failure of the Internet.
