PSTN Lines

BT Working Together is available for an inclusive fee of £54.28 exc. VAT per quarter (£62.43 inc. VAT). The fee includes the following:

  • -Line Rental (for 1 line only)
  • -Specific pence per minute rates (see Tables 1, 2, 3, and 4)
  • -Quarterly Inclusive Call Allowance of £22.98 exc. VAT (£26.43 inc. VAT)
  • -BT Working Together (for residential lines) is also available to Customers with 2 or more PSTN lines on the same account. They will receive the BT Working Together ppm rates on all lines and a Quarterly Inclusive Call Allowance of £22.98exc. VAT (£26.43 inc. VAT) which will be spread across all lines.
  • -1 inclusive BT Calling Feature (see list below)
  • -Connection of new and additional lines at £106.52 exc. VAT (£122.50 inc. VAT)
  • -Customers will pay £32.60 exc. VAT ( £37.50inc. VAT) fee for additional lines on the same account.

A payment processing fee is payable on each account for Customers who do not settle their accounts by Monthly Payment Plan or Direct Debit - see Section 15Part 12sub part 3. The payment processing fee is levied by BT Payment Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of British Telecommunications plc.

If a customer agrees to replace a paper bill with an on-line bill, they will receive a discount of £1.25 inc VAT ( £1.09exc VAT) on their account for every month in which they spend at least £11.25inc VAT (£9.78 exc VAT) on rental charges, provided the bill is paid by direct debit or monthly payment plan. Customers will receive an email advising that their bill is available to view on-line.

The paper-free discount is available per account and to customers on Calling Plan, BT Together Local, BT Working Together and BT Working Together Talk. It is not currently available on BT Mobile or BT Fusion accounts. The discount is only applied on accounts where the customer has a total rental charges greater than or equal to £11.25inc VAT (£9.78 exc VAT)per month, before any other discounts are applied e.g. special offers. One-off charges such as usage charges, brought forward amounts, payment processing fees and any other non rental charges do not count as rental charges. The discount is applied for rental charges in advance.

If the customer opts for both on-line billing and a paper copy they will not qualify for the discount. Additionally, if the customer changes the method by which they receive bills more than twice during any 12-month period, they will not be eligible for the discount. If this happens, the customer will need to continue with paper-free billing for a continuous period of 6 months before they receive the discount again.

Call Prices

Calls to the Channel Islands are charged at National Rate.

Calls to Local Number Translation Service (NTS) (0X45) numbers will be charged at the BT Working Together (for Residential Lines) Local NTS rates shown in Tables 2(a) and 2(b). ie not all these calls are eligible for the zero pence per minute charge.

IDD Circuit Switched 64k Data Calls will be charged at the standard rate.

Calls of any type for which there is no BT Working Together Option pence per minute rate specified will be charged at the standard rate (including Chargecard calls; Directory Enquiries - all numbers beginning with 118; 195 service and Operator Controlled Calls).

Inclusive Call Allowance

Call Types Eligible for the Inclusive Call Allowance will be all direct dialled calls as follows:

  • -Local, National & International
  • -Inmarsat
  • -The above call types using Ring Me Free
  • -The above call types using a Chargecard
  • -IDD Circuit Switched 64k Data Calls
  • -Calls to numbers shown in Section 2 Part 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 or 16 of the BT Price List with a Categorisation for Customer Options of 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11.

Call Types Not Eligible For the Inclusive Call Allowance:

  • -Operator Controlled calls
  • -Emsat calls
  • -Inmarsat M4 High Speed Data calls
  • -Thuraya calls
  • -Iridium calls
  • -BT Calling Feature Facility Fees
  • -Credit Call charges
  • -Calls to numbers shown in Section 2 Part 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 or 16 of the BT Price List with a Categorisation for Customer Options of 1, 2, 4, 5 or 6.

VAT figures are normally rounded up. In the case of the Inclusive Call Allowance the costs shown are inclusive of VAT rounded down to the nearest whole penny or part.

Calls from Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland are charged at the rates shown in Table 1 above. Calls from Northern Ireland to mobile telephones registered in the Republic of Ireland will be charged at the same rate as calls from the rest of theU nited Kingdom to mobile telephones registered in the Republic of Ireland.

BT Calling Features/Call Minder

Customers taking the BT Working Together Residential Package will be provided with one inclusive BT Calling Feature per account which can be selected from the lists below. PSTN customers and HomeHighway (Home Highway has been withdrawn from new supply with effect from 5 September 2005) customers may select their feature from the Analogue list only. Customers taking ISDN2e can select three features from the Digital list or if they also have PSTN line(s) on the same account, from either the Digital or Analogue (for PSTN) list - or a combination of both.

NB: The on busy/no reply versions can be provided together on the same line.

Where inclusive BT Calling Features/Digital Select Services are provided as part of the BT Working Together package, customers may order additional standard BT Calling Features/Digital Select Services on that account at a quarterly charge of £1.91 exc VAT/£2.20 inc VAT each.

Where customers have existing BT Calling Features/Digital Select Services, they can choose to have the BT Working Together inclusive BT Calling Feature(s)/Digital Select Service(s) provided additionally or replace their existing feature(s)/services(s) with their BT Working Together inclusive feature(s)/services(s).

BT Calling Features/Digital Select Services that have been provided on non-BT Working Together accounts on the same site will be provided at standard BT Calling Features/Digital Select Service Pack prices.

The provision of BT Calling Features/Digital Select Services will not be mandatory within the BT Working Together package, and customers can if they wish opt not to take the full allocation of inclusive BT Calling Features/Digital Select Services provided within the BT Working Together package.

Customers with multi-line accounts may choose which lines they wish to have the BT Calling Features/Digital Select Services provided on and may choose the same BT Calling Features/Digital Select Services on different lines e.g. residential customers with three lines on the same account who take BT Working Together could opt to have Caller Display provided on each line. Please note that the Caller Display Calling Feature is subject to availability.

Call Minder (standard) can only be provided free of charge within the BT Working Together package once (i.e. on a single line). Customers who require Call Minder (standard or variants) on each additional line will be required to pay the full retail rental price.

Where Call Minder is not provided as an inclusive (i.e. it s a `paid for' service) it will be charged at the full retail rental price.

* Customers cannot change their Call Sign number after initial provision of a Call Sign number.
