CALL CHARGES FOR 0845 NUMBERS

Ofcom may introduce a change in regulation which will affect call charges to 0845 numbers. This may result in changes to Call Charges and other changes to terms and conditions.

0870 CHANGES

CALL PAYMENTS AND CALL CHARGES FOR 0870 NUMBERS - IMPORTANT CHANGES EXPECTED IN 2009

(i) Subject to paragraph (ii) below, where calls are being made to the 0870 number(s) on and after the 1st February 2008, the Customer will continue to receive Call Payments, if applicable, at the rate in force prior to the 1st February 2008 and will not be required to pay call charges..

(ii)Ofcom)'s Ofcomimplementation isof expected to introduce a change in regulation inon 1st August 2009 whichaffects will affect call charges to 0870 numbers. From Thisthis maydate, result in the withdrawal of Call Payments areand otherwithdrawn and Call Charges applychanges to terms and conditions. Other Pleasechanges refer to theterms relevantand subconditions partsapply of this Part for details. Please refer to the relevant sub parts of this Part for details.

Advanced Features and Inline Services are a range of network based features offering additional functionality on BT Telemarketing Service calls.

Managed Services

Valuecall managed services charges apply (see Part 5 of this Section)

Short Description of the Inline Services

Call Provided Information (CPI) - routes calls dependent on the Dial Tone phone digits selected by the caller.

Voice Caller Provided Information (CPI) -routes calls dependent on 'words' spoken by the caller.

Messagelink -

  • 1 Passive - calls answered within the BT network with the customers own message
  • 2 Interactive - calls answered within the BT network with the customers own message, and caller responses recorded

Simple In-Line Messaging (SILM) - call is answered with a Customer pre-recorded announcement the maximum length of which is 30 seconds or 75 words. It is implemented as the first feature of an advanced Plan and is only available for advanced services. The Customer announcement must not be offensive, indecent, abusive, defamatory, obscene, menacing or a nuisance. Provision of SILM is limited to one per Call Plan. SILM is not available for use as a change number announcement (CNA) facility or in any way to advise callers of changes to the Customer's telephone number.

Short Description of the Advanced Features

Geographic Based Routing (GBR) - routes calls to different output branches based on the geographic origin of the callers' number. Fixed numbers only.

Condition Based Routing (CBR) - routes calls sequentially to the first destination in a list with a free line, i.e. enables Customers to answer as many calls as possible by sending calls to alternative destinations if the main answering point (or points) is/are busy. (A `destination' can be two separate buildings miles apart, or two desks in the same office.)

CBR Update - enables Customers to adjust the maximum number of calls sent to the principal answering point (via BT's 24 hour Customer Service Centre).

Switch - in times of emergency or temporary reorganisation, this feature directs calls to an alternative answering arrangement, which has been previously defined.

Announcement - pre-recorded announcements are made to callers when predetermined call routing conditions are in force.

Special Date (SD) - Routes Calls Based on Specific Dates.

Day of Week (DoW) - calls sent to different locations depending on the day of the week.

Proportional Call Distribution (PCD) - calls are distributed to different locations depending on a predetermined percentage of the total calls.

Follow Me - calls can be diverted to a different answering number (inland geographic numbers beginning 01 and 02, and VOIP numbers beginning 05) by using a TouchTone phone.

Follow Me to Mobile - calls can be diverted to a different answering mobile number.

Divert on Busy (DoB) - calls are divert to another answering point if the call is unanswered or all the lines to the first choice call centre are busy.

Caller ID (CID) - allows calls to be routed on the basis of full Calling Line Identity of the caller.

Switch with NSU (Network Side Update) - calls diverted to a single alternative call routing using a TouchTone phone.

Time of Day (ToD) - calls are distributed to locations depending on the time of day.

Eligibility for Advanced Features and Inline Services

The Services are available to all Telemarketing Services Customers with the following restrictions;

Freefone and BT 0845 Option 102 Customers can not subscribe to Advanced Features or Inline Services and these are not available to Valuecall code 0906 44 or 0909 Customers either. These Advanced Features and Inline Services are also not available to Customers who use DDI.

The minimum period of service for advance features is 3 months.

Availability of Advanced Features and Inline Services Per Call Plan

SILM is limited to one per call plan.

BT Powered By Genesys

BT Powered by Genesys is an intelligent network service for Inbound Services to call centres.

BT Powered by Genesys allows the Customer to create a virtual call centre across their Sites. This is achieved by the automatic distribution of incoming calls to specific agents anywhere in the Customer's Sites, while giving the Customer access to real-time call statistics and instant control of routing plans.

BT Powered by Genesys offers the following features:- Call Triggering, Routing on call information, Routing on business rules or on database look up, Routing on date or time, Routing on the number of calls, Call qualification by IVR skills, Skills based routing, Routing based on availability of agents or agent groups and call transfer.

Charges for BT Powered by Genesys are on application only.

In addition to connection and rental charges for BT Powered by Genesys there are call charges for BT Telemarketing Service numbers using BT Powered by Genesys.

The services are available to all Telemarketing Service Customers.

The Terms and Conditions for BT Powered by Genesys should be read in conjunction with and are additional to the Conditions for Telemarketing services, listed in sub part 5.

Additional Information

In most cases BT will deliver service to the Customer within 16 weeks of placing the order. However, this is subject to survey and a more accurate date will be agreed as part of the deployment plan.

Call Price Supplements

The following Call Supplements apply to Freefone, BT 0845, BT 0870, BT Contactcall 0844 and 0871 BT Call Director, International Freefone Universal Freefone Advanced Features and ICM Contracts signed before 1 August '04.
