With effect of 01 February 2010, Prime KiloStream will be no longer available for new supply.

Prime KiloStream products are dedicated digital links offering a point to point service for a company's exclusive use, KiloStream offers two options; Low Speed (2.4, 4.8 and 9.6kbit/s) and High Speed (19.2, 48 and 64kbit/s).

Where there is no existing usable line plant there is an additional charge for connection of line plant. For details on the charges raised please refer to Section 31 Part 7 detailing Singleton and Multiple site connection fees.

Upgrades

Prime KiloStream Upgrade to Prime MegaStream (2mbit/s):

Prime KiloStream can be upgraded to Prime MegaStream (2mbit/s) without charge provided the following criteria are met:

  • Route of the circuit(s) can be covered in total by the new service(s)
  • Re-use of existing infrastructure only, where no new infrastructure is required
  • Outstanding connection charges for circuit(s) being ceased are paid in full
  • On upgrade, all appropriate charges (including set up charges) for the new service must be paid
  • Customers must accept that there may be a break in service between the cessation of the Prime KiloStream and the start-up of the Prime MegaStream.
