Terms and Conditions applicable to the Service may be viewed in section 6 at the end of this Part.

BT offers a range of telephone call routing and management services within the UK collectively known as Telemarketing Services. These enable businesses to provide services whereby callers pay a call charge depending on the service being used.

Calls can be delivered by three methods -

  • - Basic translation to a specified number,
  • - using Advanced Features and Inline Services to route calls based on pre-determined criteria, and
  • - using Intelligent Contact Management (ICM) - previously Intelligent Call Routing (ICR) which offers dynamic call routing functionality.

The Telemarketing Services are:

Freefone 0800/0808 - enables Business customers to be called free of charge from anywhere in the UK. The Customer makes a payment to BT for each Call.

NB - Certain Network Operators (e.g Mobile Operators and Payphone renters) may charge callers for access to Freefone numbers.

BT 0845 - enables Business Customers to be called from anywhere in the UK. Calls will be charged to the caller at the rates shown in Section2 Part13 of this BT Price List. The Customer makes a payment to BT for each Call.

BT 0870 - enables Business Customers to be called from anywhere in the UK. Calls will be charged to the caller at the rates shown in Section 2Part13 of this BT Price List.

i) Subject to paragraph (ii) below, where calls are being made to the 0870 number(s) on and after the 1st February 2008, the Customer will continue to receive Call Payments, if applicable, at the rate in force prior to the 1st February 2008 and will not be required to pay call charges.

ii) Ofcom's implementation of a change in regulation on 1st August 2009 affects call charges to 0870 numbers. From this date, Call Payments are withdrawn and Call Charges apply. Other changes to terms and conditions apply. Please refer to the relevant sub parts of this Part for details.

Note: Ofcom's implementation of a change in regulation on 1st August 2009 affects call charges to 0870 numbers and results in BT charging callers to 0870 the equivalent of the national geographic rate (national rate calls to numbers starting 01 or 02), details of the rates can be found at http://www.serviceview.bt.com/

BT Contactcall 0844 - enables Business Customers to be called from anywhere in the UK. Calls will be charged to the caller at the rates shown in Section 2 Part 13 of this BT Price List. Under some circumstances BT will make a Call Payment to the Customer.

BT Contactcall 0871 - enables Business Customers to be called from anywhere in the UK. Calls will be charged to the caller at the rates shown in Section 2 Part 13 of this BT Price List. Under some circumstances BT will make a Call Payment to the Customer.

BT 03 - enables Business Customers to be called from anywhere in the UK. Calls will be charged to the caller at the rates shown in Section 2Part 10of this BT Price List. The Customer makes a payment to BT for each Call.

Ofcom stipulates the categories of customers entitled to use the 03 range may be used by different types of organisation. This is listed in the table below:

Mobile and other network costs for Telemarketing Services calls may vary.

Freefone, BT 0845, BT 0870 and BT Contactcall 0844 and 0871 Calls may also be accessed from some other countries. In this instance the charge to the caller is determined by the overseas administration.

BT TELEMARKETING BUSINESS PLAN

Offers Telemarketing Numbers in the non geographic 08XX and UK Wide BT 03XX range to Business customers. The Customer can opt for:

  • (a) no Committed Call Volume (CCV); or
  • (b) a Committed Call Volume (CCV) and dependent upon the CCV chosen the Customer will receive Reports and Controls, Advanced Features and Inline Services free of charge as set out below.

Charges for Basic, Advanced services and ICM will be provided on application.

Freefone 0800, BT 0845, BT Contactcall 0844 and 0871, BT 0870, and/or BT Call Director and/or BT 03 Customers with over 5,000 accumulated minutes per year may subscribe to BT Telemarketing Business Plan for a minimum of a Minimum Period of 12 months. Depending on the Customer's product mix, the Customer is required to agree to a CCV of 5,000 (0800, 0844, 0845, 0870 and 0871). Valuecall products may also contribute to volumes.

Customers with an existing Long Term Contract, Guaranteed Price Long Term Contract, TS Commitment Contract, TS Commitmentplus, BT Reward or Option 121, 123 or 125 Contract may terminate their existing Contract without incurring an underachievement or early termination charge on condition they subscribe to a BT Telemarketing Business Plan Contract with a Minimum Period longer than the un-expired Minimum Period of the existing Contract and/or an equivalent or higher CCV.

Committed Call Contracts with a Committed Call Volume of 20,000 minutes or more entered into after the 31st August 2007 are subject to a further Minimum Period of 12 months' starting on the day after expiry of the initial Minimum Period.

By subscribing to a BT Telemarketing Business Plan Contract, the Customer is entitled to the Freefone, BT 0845, BT Contactcall 0844 and 0871, BT 0870, BT 03 and is entitled to the Call Charges or Call Payments applicable to the product and the CCV chosen. For queries on CCVs and charges not listed, please contact your Account Manager or Service Management.

With effect from the 7th June 2008, unless otherwise stated on the order form the minimum call duration within BT Telemarketing Business Plan will be 45 seconds for those Contracts Where Call Charges apply. There is no minimum call duration under those Contracts where BT makes a Call Payment to the Customer.

BT Telemarketing Business Plan - Reports and Controls

The figures in the table below show the maximum free entitlement available to the Customer, on an opt-in basis for each CCV. If further Reports or Controls are required they can be obtained by paying the standard charges. There is no per number charge for EIS Statistics or On-Line Reports.

Inclusive Benefits

For Customers committing to over 5,000 minutes per annum;

  • (a) BT Analyst - ERD free if downloaded by the Customer, the ERD downloaded by the Customer will cover all numbers, per Customer. (ERD received on CD Rom is chargeable).
  • (b) There is no per number charge for EIS Statistics or On-Line Reports, per Customer.
  • (c) One On-Line user for Reports via the web, per Customer.

To qualify for free benefits, the inclusive benefits must be ordered in the initial order. Subsequent orders will generate normal charges.

BT Telemarketing Business Plan - Service

Customers committing to a CCV of 1 million minutes or above will be entitled to:

-Service Management.

-Service Assurance (where applicable).

  • Abolition of the following 'ad hoc' charges:
  • -Connection charges for - numbers (with the exception of Choice numbers); bulk numbers; 100 number blocks.
  • -Charge for change to Telemarketing number (including DTN change)
  • -Advanced Feature Change data per feature node (this does not include Inline Services)
  • -EIS change time slots - time of day
  • -architecture charge per advanced routing plan

-An ICM period contract which will run concurrently with the BT Telemarketing Business Contract for the same period Plan (dependent upon the CCV).

Customers committing to a CCV of 48 million minutes or higher may also be entitled to further service entitlements which will be set out in the Order Form or Charges Schedule as appropriate.

Within contracts for CCVs of 1 million minutes and over, Cost-Centre billing will be supported. This will be achieved by billing each Customer specified Telemarketing Service Number to the appropriate business unit billing number.

BT TELEMARKETING BUSINESS PLAN CSS CODES

BT Call Director, formerly known as Call Optimiser enables Customers to be called on normal PSTN/ISDN numbers, and uses Advanced Features and/or Inline Services on these Calls to re-route and manage them. BT Call Director is only available with Telemarketing Services Advanced Features and Inline Services. BT retains the PSTN/ISDN call charge revenue for this service. Charges on Application (POA).

Usage reports are available and for the list of reports and applicable charges please see subpart `EIS Reports and Control'.

Advanced Features, Inline Services and Intelligent Contact Management (previously known as Intelligent Call Routing) are available. For the Features and applicable charges please see subpart `Advanced Features, Inline Services and ICM'.

From 1 February 2004, Option 101 (Business Builder) and Option 102 (Business Builder), BT Reward were no longer available for new supply and were replaced by BT Telemarketing Business Starter option.

From 28th October 2005 Telemarketing Business Starter is no longer available for new supply and is replaced by BT Telemarketing Business Plan.

Number Connection Charges and Rentals

The customer will pay a connection and rental charge per Telemarketing Service Number made available. Charges differ depending on whether the customer nominates the number or BT allocates the number.

The calls are delivered to PSTN/ISDN lines nominated by the customer. Normal charges apply to these lines.

DDI Connection and Rental Charges - All Options

A DDI block comprises 100 contiguous numbers. If a DDI block is broken down at a Customer's request, individual numbers will be charged as individual numbers and residual numbers will be charged at the full block rate.

Changed Number Announcement (CNA)

The facility will be provided for a maximum period of 3 months however, provision of CNA is subject at all times to the availablility of appropriate facilities and BT does not guarantee to provide CNA on request from the Customer.

CNA provides a Customer who is ceasing or changing Freefone 0800, 0808/BT 0845/BT 0870/BT Contactcall 0844, 0870 and BT 03 numbers a facility which allows calls to be directed to a standard recorded announcement, on network answering equipment, which advises callers to dial the appropriate number. Callers are charged the rate applicable to the number dialled. Customers with 0870 numbers connected to CNA will be liable to pay call charges for calls made to the 0870 numbers after the date Ofcom introduces a change in regulation which results in BT charging callers to 0870 the equivalent of the national geographic rate (national rate calls to numbers starting 01 or 02).

CNA is not available where the Customer is taking Parallel Running.

PARALLEL RUNNING ON 0870 NUMBERS

Customers who wish to move from the 0870 number range to new number in the range 0800, 0808, 0844, 0871 or 03 may elect to have the new number connected to operate in parallel with the 0870 number ("parallel running"). Such customers will not be required to pay a rental charge for the new number for the period of parallel running until 3 months after the date Ofcom introduces a change in regulation which results in BT charging callers to 0870 the equivalent of the national geographic rate (national rate calls to numbers starting 01 or 02).

Rental charges for the 0870 number continue to be payable during parallel running and call charges will apply from the date BT starts charging callers to 0870 the equivalent of the national geographic rate following a change in regulation.

CNA is not available to customers who take parallel running.

Service Assurance

Use is restricted to emergencies such as floods, fire, bomb scares etc. and where service is lost due to a problem with line plant. This service is not intended as a day to day management tool.

Service assurance is a 24-hour, 365-day service designed for customers to have an alternative emergency delivery destination that has been pre-determined. Once a request has been validated the specified Service Assurance plan will be activated within 1 clock hour. De-activating follows the same procedures and timescales.

Service Assurance is only available on basic Freefone, BT 0845, BT 0870, BT Contactcall 0844 and 0871 and International Freefone services. Service Assurance is not available where this is a 100 number DDI provided service.

Service Assurance is not available if Advanced Service is already provided. Customers with Advanced Features and Inline Services can use the feature Switch for a similar facility.

BT Telemarketing Business Plan - Charges

All charges, including Connection, Call Charges and Call Payments are available upon application, and will be set out in the Order Form or the Charges Schedule as appropriate.

Temporary Service

Temporary service may be supplied, with a minimum charge period of three months. Charges applicable are as follows: 40% of the annual rental will be applied to cover minimum term and thereafter i.e. from month 4 onwards (where applicable), 10% of the annual rental will be applied to cover each additional month of service.

Options and Packages Available

A variety of option schemes are available. Some have Minimum Period commitment; others have both CCV and Minimum Period commitment.

Pre-paid 0844

For a set up charge (one-off payment), BT will provide an 0844 number. Rental charges will not apply to these numbers. Enhanced Information Statistics will be available to download free of charge for one nominated user. There is no Minimum Period. Under Achievement Charges and Early Termination Charges will not apply. Any additional features or numbers ordered by the Customer and not included within the option will be charged at the rates specified in the Order Form or published in the Price List as applicable.

Call supplements that apply to calls routed using Advanced Features, Inline Services or ICM are detailed in the relevant subpart within this Part.

Call Charge Reductions for Basic Service

The Call Charges shown in this Part are, unless otherwise stated, the standard Call Charges applicable for Advanced Features and Inline Services under Scheme 2 or Advanced Features and Inline Services using Intelligent Contact Management. Please note that additional rental charges apply for Advanced Features, Inline Services and Intelligent Contact Management. Call supplements for Advanced Features provided under Scheme 1 apply. For Call Charge supplements for Advanced Scheme 1,2 and ICR see section 266 - Call Price Supplements.

All charges are available on application, and will be set out in the Order Form.

Daytime Rate: Monday to Friday, 0800hrs - 1800hrs;

Cheap Rate: All other times

Over Christmas, New Year and other Bank Holidays, Freefone and BT 0845 service Customers will be charged normal Freefone /BT 0845 Cheap and Day rates. Charges to callers to the BT 0845 services will be at the local call rate prevailing at their location at the time of the call.

BT 0870, BT Contactcall 0844 and 0871 & BT 03

Daytime Rate: Monday to Friday, 0800hrs - 1800hrs;

Evening Rate: Monday to Friday, before 0800hrs & after 1800hrs;

Weekend Rate: All Day Sat & Sun;

BT Telemarketing Business Plan - Termination

The Minimum Period of Service for BT Telemarketing Business Plan will be 1 year. Customers who wish to terminate before the end of the Minimum Period, and who decide not to subscribe to a new Contract with higher CCV and/or longer Minimum Period, must pay the following termination charges:

  • CCV per Contract Year of 5,000 to 49,000 £100.00
  • CCV per Contract Year of 50,000 to 99,000 £250.00
  • CCV per Contract Year of 100,000 to 499,999 £500.00
  • CCV per Contract Year of 500,000 to 999,999 £1000.00
  • CCV per Contract Year of 1,000,000 to 23,999,999 £5000.00
  • CCV per Contract Year of 24,000,000 to 47,999,999 £10000.00
  • CCV per Contract Year of 48,000,000 to 199,999,999 £20000.00
  • CCV per Contract Year of 200,000,000 to 299,999,999 £30000.00
  • CCV per Contract Year of 300,000,000 (and greater) £45000.00

Committed Call Contracts with a Committed Call Volume of 20,000 minutes or more entered into after the 31st August 2007

The termination charges specified above apply to the initial Minimum Period and further Minimum Period.

All contract types - Termination within the Minimum Period

The early termination charges specified in sub part 3 under this heading will apply to Customers entering into new contracts after the 3rd September 2007.

Customers with an existing Option 121, 123, 125, Business Builder or BT Reward Contract may terminate their Contract without incurring an early termination charge if they subscribe to a BT Telemarketing Business Plan Contract with a longer Minimum Period than the un-expired Minimum Period of the existing Contract and an equivalent or higher CCV.

Option 104 - Freefone (Special Freefone Tariff ("SFT") Scheme)

Option 104 (available only on the number range 0808 80x xxxx), is available to certain Telephone Helpline Association (THA) Members to assist them to provide a dedicated free-to-caller service where it is imperative to protect the confidentiality of calls to that helpline.

Call charges under the SFT scheme include a contribution to the Customer's THA membership fees and this will be collected by BT and paid to the THA.

There is no option fee.

Call Charges - Option 104

Calls are charged per minute. Inbound call charges will be rounded up to the nearest half penny where the calculated call price does not fall on a half-pence or whole penny. Inbound call payments will be rounded down to the nearest half penny where the calculated call price does not fall on a half-pence or whole penny.

Telemarketing Service (Ts) High Volume 2 (Not Available for New Supply)

For a CCV of a Minimum of 20,000 minutes Per Contract Year, Charges on Application (POA)

Charges for Basic, Advanced services and ICM will be provided on application.

TS High Volume is an opt-in package, replacing TS Commitment and TS Commitmentplus for BT Inbound Services Customers willing to commit to a CCV of over 20,000 inbound minutes per Contract Year.

Freefone 0800, BT 0845, BT 0870, BT Call Director Customers with over 20,000 accumulated minutes per year and/or BT Contactcall 0871, BT Contactcall 0844 and BT DQC 118 Customers with over 100,000 accumulated minutes per year may subscribe to TS High Volume. Depending on the Customers product mix, the Customer is required to agree to a CCV of over 20,000 (0800, 0845, 0870) or 100,000 (0871, 0844, BT DQC 188) minutes per year for a Minimum period of 12 months (1 year contract), 24 months (2 year contract), 36 months (3 year contract) or 60 months (5 year contract). Valuecall products may also contribute to volumes.

Customers with an existing Long Term Contract, Guaranteed Price Long Term Contract, TS Commitment Contract, TS Commitmentplus, BT Reward or Option 121, 123 or 125 Contract may terminate their existing Contract without incurring an underachievement or early termination charge on condition they subscribe to a TS High Volume Contract with a Minimum Period longer than the un-expired Minimum Period of the existing Contract and / or an equivalent or higher CCV.

By subscribing to a TS High Volume Contract, the Customer is entitled to the Freefone, BT 0845 and BT Contactcall 0844 (100k - 12m minutes) call charges and call payments for BT Contactcall 0871 and BT Contactcall 0844 (24m - 300m minutes) as detailed below. See Section 2 Part 24 for details of BT DQC 118 charges and payments. For queries on applicable CCV bands and charges not listed, please contact your Account Manager or Service Management.

If more advantageous BT Call Charges or Call Payments become available within this Part of the Price List, the Customer has the option of terminating the current Contract in favour of a new Contract at the better Call Charges or Call Payments.

The new Call Charges or Call Payments will not be applied retrospectively.

TS High Volume Customers will be ineligible for BT Dual Discount.

With effect from 7th June 2008, unless otherwise stated on the order form the minimum call duration within TS High Volume will be 45 seconds for 0800/0845 and 0844 (100k - 12m minutes) products. There is no minimum call duration for 0871, 0844 (24m - 300m minutes) or BT DQC 118 products. With effect from 1 August 2009 the minimum call duration for 0870 will be 45 seconds.

Call delivery using advanced Scheme 1 is not available with TS High Volume Contracts.

Call Charges

All charges including Connection, Call Charges and Call Payments are available upon application and will be set out in the Order Form or Charges Schedule as appropriate.

Payphones

There may be an additional charge per minute (in addition to the pence per minute rate set out in the Order Form or Charges Schedule as appropriate), for Calls which are free to the Caller originating from public payphones, managed payphones and renters' payphones. This charge relates to the payment of a Payphone Access Charge as published by BT. With effect from the 30th September 2008, the additional charge will increase to the rate specified at:

Fixed Fee

Where the Customer contracts for Fixed Fee calls, the Call will be subject to a maximum number of minutes. Where the Call exceeds the number of minutes BT will reduce the Call Payment due on that call by the amount stated in the Order Form or the Charges Schedule as appropriate. Where the reduction exceeds the amount of Call Payment due to the Customer for that Fixed Fee call. BT will levy the appropriate Call Charge (and no Call Payment will be payable on that Call Charge).

The figures in the table below show the maximum free entitlement available, on an opt-in basis, to Customers on each CCV. If further Reports or Controls are required they can be obtained by paying the standard charges. There is no per number charge for Web EIS Statistics or On-Line Reports.

Service

Customers committing to a CCV of 1 million minutes or above will be entitled to:

-Service Management.

-Service Assurance (where applicable).

  • Abolition of the following 'ad hoc' charges:
  • -Connection charges for - numbers (with the exception of Choice numbers); bulk numbers; 100 number blocks.
  • -Charge for change to Telemarketing number (including DTN change)
  • -Advanced Feature Change data per feature node (this does not include Inline Services)
  • -EIS change time slots - time of day
  • -TS High Volume architecture charge per advanced routing plan
  • -An ICM period Contract which will run concurrently with the Committed Call Contract for the same period.
  • Customers with a CCV of 48 million minutes or higher are also entitled to:
  • -Shorter Provision Lead Times, at standard charges detailed before, FastTrack (1 hour), Standard DTN (8 hours) and Advanced Service (2 days - simple data change or 5 days - plan architecture changes).

Within Contracts for a CCV of 1million minutes and over, Cost-Centre billing will be supported. This will be achieved by billing each Customer specified Telemarketing service number to the appropriate business unit billing number.

TS High Volume Advanced Feature and Inline Services Charges - (Call Routing Plans)

Customers committing to a CCV of 48 million minutes and over are eligible for reduced charges on Call Routing Plans.

The Call Routing Plan charges are per plan, charged at Advance Scheme 2 charges up to a maximum rental of 500 (Ex VAT) per quarter per plan. Call Routing plans on Advanced Scheme 1 is not available within TS High Volume Contracts.
