10/16 - Changes to our Conditions for BT Business Services (BT1130)

We've made some changes to our Conditions for BT Business Services.

The changes will apply:

• from and including the 15th April;

• to all contracts that include the Conditions for BT Business Services. You can check whether or not the Conditions for BT Business Services apply to your contract by going to the relevant menu on the main Terms of Agreement web page at http://www.bt.com/terms and clicking on the service that you are taking.

A summary of the changes is set out below:

Clause 2.2 (Provision of the Service)

We've updated this clause to reflect current legislation and we've replaced the reference to the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 as amended by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013;

Clause 4.2 (Charges and Payments)

We've updated this clause to clarify that the customer will be responsible for all charges, including those resulting from unauthorised or fraudulent use;

Clause 4.14 (Charges and Payments)

We've updated this clause to remove BT Payment Services Limited's right to collect payments made other than by direct debit or monthly payment plan;

Clause 9.3 (Transfer of Rights and Obligations)

We've updated this clause so that BT has the right to assign or transfer any rights or obligations under the contract (including BT's right to collect payments or receivables).

You can find a copy of the revised Conditions for BT Business Services on the Terms of Agreement web page at http://www.bt.com/terms. Just look under the Special Notices menu.
