ISDN2 (DASS2) AND BUSINESS HIGHWAY PRODUCT RETIREMENT NOTICE

ISDN2 (DASS2) and Business Highway are being completely retired in 2008. In most areas this is expected to take place on March 31st 2008, but in some parts of the country this may be at an earlier date. or later

Business Highway Service is to be retired from 31 March 2008. Service Removal Programme in operation. Customers who remain on the Service beyond 31 March 2008 will do so subject to their existing contract which will continue until the service is upgraded to ISDN 2e or the contract is terminated accordance to the terms and conditions

Customers affected by an earlier retirement date will be notified in advance. On retirement, telephony services and features of ISDN2 (DASS2) and Business Highway will no longer be available to existing Customers. Rental and any other related charges will no longer be applied. (This note will be updated with any change to the retirement dates should this arise)

From August 18th 2006, Customers terminating their ISDN2 (DASS2) and/or Business Highway Contracts within the Minimum Period will not be liable to pay early termination charges. This applies to 1 year as well as to 3 and 5 year long term Contracts.

In respect of ISDN2 DASS Customers, during the period of 31st July 2007 to 31st MarchDecember 20082009, BT will upgrade service to ISDN2e.

It will not be possible to upgrade all Customers at the same time but the upgrades will take place at no extra charge within the period of 31st July 2007 to 31st MarchDecember 20082009.

BT will contact Customers to advise when their ISDN2 DASS Service will be upgraded to ISDN2e.

Where the Customer requires the upgrade to take place outside of normal hours, time scale charges will apply as set out in the BT Price List ( please see Section15 Part 8).

The ISDN2 DASS Service description within all Business Service contracts will be upgraded to ISDN2e. Upon upgrade, ISDN2 DASS will no longer be provided and the customer will be provided with the upgraded ISDN2e subject to a Minimum Period of 12 months which will commence from the date the upgraded service is provided.

If there is more than 12 months term remaining in the Minimum Period of the Customer's existing ISDN2 DASS Contract, there will be no change to the term.

If there is less than 12 months term remaining in the Minimum Period of the Customer's existing ISDN2 DASS Contract or there is no Minimum Period left, the provision of the upgraded ISDN2e will be subject to a new Minimum Period of 12 Months.

Business Highway - ISDN2e Conversion with Terminal Adaptor

Subject to the following conditions, existing BT Business Highway Customers who apply to convert to ISDN2e may opt to receive a Chiron connect 200 ISDN2e Terminal Adaptor at no charge. The conditions of this offer are as follows:

1. Customers must register for the offer between 03 September 2007 and the 31 January 2008 and the customer's request must be received on or before the 31 January 2008;

2. The ISDN2e contract will be subject to a Minimum Period of 12 months and the BT standard terms and conditions and charges will apply;

3. The offer is limited to existing BT Business Highway Customers who in BT's reasonable opinion, have an operational requirement for a Terminal Adaptor in order to retain basic voice telephony, analogue fax and/ or EPOS equipment.

4. The registration for the free Terminal Adaptor must be recorded on the same order form as the order for the Business Highway to ISDN2e Conversion.

5. The Terminal Adaptor will be despatched by BT's supplier on behalf of BT as part of the Business Highway conversion process and will be with the customer in time for the Business Highway conversion. BT will provide a simple installation guide and a supplier helpline number to deal with any installation issues.

6. Upon delivery of the Terminal Adaptor, risk and title in the Terminal Adaptor will pass to the Customer.

7. A Supplier helpline is available details of which will be provided with the Terminal Adaptor. Faults in the Terminal Adaptor should be reported to this helpline.

8 Guarantee

8.1 BT guarantees the Terminal Adaptor for 12 months from the date of delivery.

8.2 If the Customer reports a fault during the guarantee period and the fault is due to faulty design, manufacture, materials or BT's negligence, BT will replace the Terminal Adaptor provided that:

(a) the Terminal Adaptor has been properly kept and maintained, used in accordance with the manufacturer's or BT's instructions and has not been modified except with BT's written agreement; and

(b) the fault is not due to damage (including lightning and electrical damage) or the actions of anyone other than BT.

8.3 This guarantee does not cover fair wear and tear.

9. BT has no responsibility or liability for configuration, installation or maintenance support for the Terminal Adaptor and accepts no responsibility or liability for the use of the Terminal Adaptor by the customer.

10. BT reserves the right to withdraw or amend this offer at any time.
