Subpart 2:BT Calling Features Packs

BT Calling Features Packs enable customers to package together their choice of BT Calling Features. Customers can choose 1 to 9 BT Calling Features from Call Waiting, Internet Call Waiting, Call Diversion, Call Barring (includes Internet Call Barring), Caller Display*, Reminder Call (unlimited usage), Ring Back (unlimited usage), Call Sign, Three Way Calling (unlimited use) and 1471 Extra.

Eligibility

Available to all Single line Business and Residential Customers except:

  • - Temporary Service Lines
  • - ISDN Lines
  • - In Contact customers
  • For details of BT Calling Feature eligibility, see page .

The following BT Calling Features are available in packs on the analogue channels of Business Highway (Business Highway has been withdrawn from new supply with effect from 10 April 2006) and are chargeable per analogue channel to which they are applied:

Call Return `1471', 1471 Erasure (1475), 1471 Extra, Call Waiting, Internet Call Waiting, Call Diversion, Call Barring (includes Internet Call Barring), Caller Display*, Reminder Call, Ring Back, Charge Advice and Three Way Calling.

Conditions

  • 1. Service is provided under BT's Terms & Conditions for Business Service or BT's terms and conditions for residential service as appropriate.
  • 2. There is no minimum term.
  • 3. Customers may have only 1 BT Calling Features Pack per line.
  • 4. Customers cannot have a stand alone BT Calling Feature, ValuePack or ValuePlan with a BT Calling Features Pack. All BT Calling Features must be provided within a BT Calling Features Pack. This does not apply where the feature is not available as part of a BT Calling Feature Pack.

Additional Information:

Touchtone Telephones

Touchtone telephones are required for all BT Calling Features with the exception of Calling Line Identity (CLI) services, Call Minder, Ring Back and Call Sign. Touchtone is a trademark of BT in the UK.

The permanent number withhold facility will withhold the number for all calls.

Call Barring

BT's Call Barring service will only bar calls made via the BT network and not those made via alternative Service Providers. Reverse charge calls can still be accepted when Call Barring has been activated.

Customer's who subscibe to BT's Call Barring service and who are also BT Communicator * (See Section 3 Part 1 ) customers will additionally be able to use the Internet Call Barring service, which gives the ability to bar certain types of numbers on calls made through their PC.

Caller Display

*Please note that the Caller Display Calling Feature is subject to availability.

Customers require compatible equipment to display the Calling Line Identity (CLI), available from BT and other suppliers of telecommunications equipment.

Call Diversion

Call Diversion is only available to the following international destinations: Australia (including Christmas & Cocos Islands), Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Malaysia, Norway, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, United States (excluding Hawaii). The diverted part of the call is charged to the renter of the service at standard dialled rates; calling customers pay the call charge only to the number dialled.

When using BT's Call Diversion service, it is not possible to divert calls using Indirect Access codes.

Call Diversion is not available to Premium Rate numbers.

BT Business Line Divert is not part of the Calling Features pack.

Call Sign

Call Sign is offered subject to the availability of Call Sign numbers. Where a renumber is required to provide the service, this will be offered free of charge. Call Sign is compatible with all BT corded and most BT cordless phones, but may not be compatible with some other equipment. Call Sign is not available on BT Home or Business Highway.

Customers cannot choose their Call Sign number.

Ring Back

The charge is raised when the distinctive ringing occurs and the network is ready to set up the Ring Back call.

Three Way Calling

Each participant pays at normal dialled rates for the part of the call that they dialled.

BT Calling Feature and Network Feature Compatability

Internet Call Waiting

Internet Call Waiting is provided as a feature of BT Communicator * (See Section 3 Part 1 ) . Internet Call Waiting (ICW) is not compatible with the Call Waiting service. Customers may choose Internet Call Waiting or Call Waiting but cannot have both at the same time. Charges for Internet Call Waiting are as Call Waiting in Calling Features.
