Major Customer Site |
Each Major Customer Site nominated to terminate Longline Components will incur an annual charge of £250000. This is in addition to any NetStream 16 access component rental that may apply. |
Customers must nominate at least 8 major customer sites, or pay the equivalent annual rental. |
Where the Major Customer Site is not an existing NetStream 1 or 16 Access Component, Access Component Connection fees will apply. This Access Component will be offered at a basic rate of a £100000.00 Site connection. For second and subsequent 2.4Gbit/s paths from a Site to the same BT node, the Site connection will be cease to apply. |
Where Major Customer Sites terminate both NetStream 16 NetStream 16 Longline circuits, there is a 25 site `cap' on the annual Customer Site rentals, i.e. Major Customer Sites 26 and above that terminate both NetStream 16 and NetStream 16 Longline circuits will be NetStream 16 Longline Major Customer Site rental free. The NetStream 16 Access Component rental will however still be chargeable. |
Hub Buyout Option |
For a one off payment per Site customers may obviate their recurring NetStream 16 Longline Major Customer Site charges in perpetuity at the Site concerned. Hub Buyout charges are as follows: |
|
The Customer must identify the Sites to which he wishes to make the up front payments. On taking this option, no more Major Customer Site rental charges will apply. Any new Sites requested will be subject to the standard connection charges, detailed elsewhere in this Section , however the customer may opt for the one off payment as opposed to recurring rental charges for the Site. |
Where subsequent Access Components are provided to supplement capacity no charges will be raised. Where subsequent Access Components are supplied at the customers request to another BT node, Access Component or Major Customer Site connection and rental charges will apply (as detailed earlier in this part). |
For charging purposes Access Components or Major Customer Sites that carry a zero rental tariff following the one off payment will not count as either NetStream 16 Accesses or NetStream 16 Longline Major Customer Sites in any other calculations. |
NetStream 16 Longline Major Customer Sites are only classified as such whilst they continue to terminate Netstream 16 Longline circuits. Any hub Sites that no longer fulfil this criterion, for a period of 6 months from the cessation of the final circuit into that Site, will no longer be classified as an NetStream 16 Longline Site. In such instances Access Component connection charges are applicable, as detailed earlier in this Part, before being reclassified as an Access Component or Major Customer Site. Rental charges for any such reconnected Access Component or Major Customer Site will not apply. |
There is no refund of the one-off payments in the event of early termination at a Site. |
The Network Contractual Commitment Term will be deemed to have been served at Sites, on payment of the one off charge. |
The payment of the one off Site charge has no impact on existing pool or DDO contract commitments. |
Satellite Site |
A one off Satellite Site Joining fee is applicable to each Satellite Site. The charge will apply to every nominated Satellite Site. The charge varies, depending on whether the site hosts MegaStream products before becoming a NetStream 16 Longline Satellite Site. The Small/Large Satellite Site Joining fee will also cover the connection charge (where applicable) of the first NetStream 16 Longline circuit into the Satellite Site respectively. |
Charges are as follows: |
|
Where a Satellite Site is shared by more than one NetStream 16 Longline customer, each customer must pay the appropriate joining fee. |
For an additional one off fee of £20000 per circuit, the 155Mbit/s capacity Large Satellite Site will be installed with a 63 x 2Mbit/s circuit interface to facilitate aggregation of individual 2Mbit/s circuits. This option must be taken up on ordering a 155Mbit/s Longline Circuit. Existing 155Mbit/s circuits cannot be converted to offer this facility. The availability of this option is subject to survey. |
The provision of Satellite Sites will be subject to the standard Excess Construction charges as defined for MegaStream products, see Section 45 of the price list. |
NetStream 16 Longline Circuits |
Connection |
Connection of individual subsequent circuits from the Satellite Sites to the Major Customer Site will be charged at the following rates. Because the joining fee covers the connection of the first circuit into a Satellite Site, these charges apply to subsequent circuits only. |
|
Existing MegaStream circuits connected to the major site may be re-classified to NetStream 16 Longline circuits, at the above prices, provided the Satellite Site has been graded as such. KiloStreamN circuits from existing Satellite Sites to major sites may be re-classified as NetStream 16 Longline circuits at the above 2Mbit/s price. |
These circuits will be physically migrated on to the new network at BT's discretion, although the new prices become applicable on commencement of the new contract. All outstanding MegaStream and KiloStreamN connection charges for the circuits must be paid. |
Where the original `First Circuit' on any route is subsequently ceased, the `Subsequent Circuit' (if any) on that route with the earliest provision date will be re-classified as `First Circuit', and the rental adjusted accordingly. |
Annual Rentals |
Individual circuits will incur an annual recurring charge, according to discreet distance bands, and bandwidth. Distances are measured from the serving exchange of the Satellite site originating the circuit to the serving exchange of the Major Customer Site terminating the circuit. In addition to the distance bandings, a City of London (CLZ) charge is available for circuits linking Satellite Sites to major sites where both are within the (020)7 telephone area. |

Circuits to Large Satellite Sites - Annual Rentals: |

|
Where circuits from a single Satellite Site are terminated at more than one Major Customer Site, the first circuit rentals will apply for each route, but will be reduced by £2000 per `First Circuit' (from those detailed above). Subsequent circuit charges will apply to additional circuits on each route, as detailed above. |
Where the site is shared between 2 or more NetStream 16 Longline customers, the first circuit rentals will be reduced by £2000 (from those detailed above) for each customer. Each customer's subsequent circuit prices will be as detailed above. Note that only one `First Circuit' discount will be paid, i.e. the maximum discount per circuit will be £2000. In the event that the First Circuit is ceased, the circuit with the earliest provision date will be re-classified as the `First Circuit', and will be eligible for first circuit reductions. |
Discounts |
Please refer to `Contract Options' in this Section. |
Satellite Sites |
Customers may commit individual Satellite Sites, where 4Mbit/s or more capacity is terminated and maintained, to a term contract of 3 or 5 years. In return circuits connected to these Satellite Sites will benefit from a further discount, additional to that already generated by existing discount schemes. |
|
Where customers fail to maintain the Satellite Sites for the committed term, BT will recover all the satellite discounts applied to those circuits, down to the last completed discount period. In addition, BT will recover any additional costs which it may have incurred in applying the discount up to a maximum of £100 per circuit. |
Where Satellite sites are committed to term, a spread connection option is available on the Site joining fee. Customers may opt to pay their connection charge in 3 or 5 annual instalments. The instalments are calculated as follows: - 3 year term - Connection Charge x 38.8%
- 5 year term - Connection Charge x 25.8%
|
The 3 year spread is only available where the NetStream Longline site is committed to 3 year term. The 5 year spread is only available where the NetStream Longline site is committed to 5 year term. If a customer terminates service prior to paying all instalments, the customer will pay BT any outstanding connection charges. |
Circuits to large satellites will be excluded from both the BT High Bandwidth Term Contract and Quote On Line discounts. |
NetStream 16 155Mbit/s access capacity associated with NetStream 16 Longline will not contribute towards the Pool or the DDO, but will count towards the network fill of the NetStream 16 Access component. |
