A charge will be raised when a Business or Residential tariff customer requests a copy of a bill, or if they default on either a cheque or Direct Debit payment, except as detailed below.
Eligibility
These charges are applicable to all customers whose bills are not wholly provided by BT's specialised billing services.
Service is provided under BT's Terms & Conditions for Business Service or BT's terms and conditions for residential service as appropriate.
Additional Information
The dishonoured cheque/Direct Debit charges are not levied in cases of BT error, when the cheque is either mutilated, unsigned, post dated, stopped by bank, countermanded, not payable to BT, unmatched words/figures or the cheque account has been closed. Similarly, for defaulted Direct Debit payment, the charge will be waived if the payer is deceased, the instructions have been cancelled, the account transferred and the absence of Direct Debit instructions.
The charges for copy bills will not be levied in cases of BT error. Charges for copy bills are also waived for the following: an executor of a will, registered Chronically Sick & Disabled persons, registered blind or visually impaired customers, (large format print).
