A call to 118500 allows a caller to request searches for a UK (including Ireland, Republic of) telephone or facsimile number (inclusive of dialling code), dialling codes and certain additional information services. In addition, the caller may have the call connected to the requested number.

Charges do not apply for individuals eligible for exemption under General Condition 15.2 (see Section Endnote 15).

Call connection will be barred to Premium Rate Services, mobile and international numbers.

The charge applies to the search not the result. However, if a customer provides correct full name and address information and an incorrect number is provided by BT, the customer can contact the service again to arrange a credit.

Call duration is rounded up to the next whole minute.

The terms and conditions relating to calls to 118404 are identical to those for 118500 except that calls will be handled in the Welsh language.

Calls to 118141 will only be available from payphone lines . A call to 118 141 allows the caller to request one search per call for a UK (including Ireland, Republic of) telephone or facsimilie number (inclusive of dialling code) and dialling codes.
