Subpart 1:Operator Call Connection |
Except for calls from payphones, the 100 operator will connect a call on request from a customer. The operator will also try to resolve any problems a customer may have had when trying to dial a call direct. |
Eligibility | | This service is available from any BT line or payphone (*), for calls to any number in the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Republic of Ireland, except premium rate services. For the UK, (except Northern Ireland), to the Republic of Ireland see Section 40 of the BT Price List. | * Note: Customers calling the 100 operator from payphones will receive assistance from the operator, but will not be offered onward connection (this does not apply to the 198 Operator). |
Pricing Information | | The operator service charge is £6.308 excluding VAT ( [Price] £7.25 including VAT) and is added to the call charge. It is not charged if the caller has previously had difficulty dialling direct. It is charged in any other circumstances. | Call charges are listed in Part 1 of this Section. | There is no charge if the call cannot be connected. |
Conditions | | BT's Terms & Conditions for Business Service or BT's terms and conditions for residential service as appropriate apply. | People who are disabled and cannot dial the call themselves will not be charged the operator service charge. |
Additional Information | | If the called number is still engaged or there is no reply when the operator tries to connect, the caller will be advised to try later. If the caller wants the operator to keep trying, the operator service charge will then apply even if the caller had previous difficulty dialling direct. |
