Part 2:Alarm Calls

Subpart 1:Alarm Calls

Customers can arrange for the operator to ring them back on a specified number at a pre-arranged time. Calls can be booked up to one week ahead.

Eligibility

Customers can book Alarm Calls from any BT line, excluding payphones.

Alarm Calls can be received on any ordinary line provided it can receive incoming calls. Calls cannot be received on payphones, mobile numbers, pager numbers, or numbers outside the UK.

Pricing Information

The operator-service charge for booking each Alarm Call is £6.948 excluding VAT [Price] £7.99including VAT).

There is no additional charge for Alarm Call connection or for changing the booking details.

BT's Terms & Conditions for Business Service or BT's terms and conditions for residential service as appropriate apply.

The operator-service charge is charged at the booking stage and is not refundable unless the call is cancelled more than 3 hours before the connection time.

If a customer books an Alarm Call to be received on a Broadband line, BT cannot guarantee delivery if their Broadband connection fails, as this may mean the Broadband Talk service could cease to function, due to e.g. a power cut, or network failure.
