These prices apply for direct dialled calls from standard Business telephone lines and from Payphone lines when no discount schemes are applicable. Public Payphone calls are excluded.

Except where a call is made to a “specialised service" (see Section 2 Parts 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 & 17), a call made from a fixed line to an exchange within the same charge group or to an exchange in an adjacent charge group is always charged at Local rates. All other Inland geographic calls are charged at `National' rates. Information concerning call charges between two charge groups is contained in the Phone Book. For additional charge group information customers can ring Operator Services on 100. Special arrangements apply for certain offshore islands - see Section 2 Part 9
On 1st October 1999 the National rate call charge was reduced to that of Regional rate. As there is now no difference between these charges, references to Regional rate have been removed from the Price List and other related literature.
Calls from Northern Ireland to fixed telephones in the Republic of Ireland will be charged at the appropriate Inland rate. Calls from Northern Ireland to mobile telephones registered in the Republic of Ireland will be charged at the same rate as calls from the rest of the United Kingdom to mobile telephones registered in the Republic of Ireland. Calls to the Channel Islands are charged at National Rate.
