Part 3:BT Business Mobile Broadband

Subpart 1:BT Business Mobile Broadband

All charges are stated exclusive of VAT. The charges detailed in this BT Price List Entry apply to Contracts for BT Business Mobile Broadband except as amended via a Charges Schedule provided by BT.

(a) connect, continue connection or knowingly allow any third party to connect or continue the connection of:

  • (i) any GSM Gateway;
  • (ii) any device used to forward or divert calls, texts or data with the intention of reducing the charges applicable to the Contract;

to the Network. Where BT reasonably believes that a GSM Gateway or such a device is being used, the Customer will provide, at BT's request, details of the means by which texts and data is sent or calls made and BT may suspend or terminate the Service in accordance with the Contract.

"GSM Gateway" means a single point of access to the Network from another network using BT SIM Cards and/or any facility enabling the making of automated calls and the sending of automated data and texts using BT SIM Cards and BT may suspend or terminate the Service in accordance with the Contract.

1. Definitions

The definitions are set out in the Conditions and Service Schedule - please see Paragraph 6 below for more information.

2. Minimum Period and Minimum Term

The following Minimum Period and Minimum Term applies to BT Business Mobile Broadband, other than where a different Minimum Period and Minimum Term is stated in the Charges Schedule:

3. Charging Information

All charges other than those detailed in Table 1 will be charged in accordance with Part 6 of Section 10 b of the BT Price List.

(a) Monthly Subscription Charges will be invoiced monthly in advance.

(b) Monthly Subscription Charges incurred for periods of less than a month will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.

(c) Subject to paragraph (e) below, if the Customer uses the SIM Card in an alternative device, charges may apply as detailed in Part 6 of Section 10 b of the BT Price List when any allowance set out in Table 1 has been exhausted.

(d) The Monthly Subscription Charge includes one SIM Card per Connection provided under this Contract.

(e) When taking a BT Mobile Broadband Connection the Device detailed in Table 1 is optional and the Customer can take the SIM Only option and use the SIM Card in an alternative device subject to paragraph (a).

Note 2 - Inclusive Data Allowance

(a) The Inclusive Data Allowance detailed in Table 1 above will be applied on a pro-rata basis in the first month.

(b) The Inclusive Data Allowance can be used for data usage within the UK (excluding the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man) using a BT SIM Card.

(c) Data usage is measured in kilobytes (KB) and rounded up to the next charging increment. 1MB = 1024 Kilobytes (KB), 1 Gigabyte (GB) = 1024 MB . The minimum BT Mobile Data charging increment is 1KB.

(d) The Inclusive Data Allowance set out in Table 1 excludes International Roaming which will be charged in accordance with Part 6 of Section 10 b of the BT Price List.

Note 3 - Unlimited BT Wi-fi

Unlimited BT Wi-fi applies to all Connections for the Minimum Term of the Connection.

(a) The unlimited BT Wi-fi is for use from a BT Wi-fi Site in the UK.

(b) The unlimited BT Wi-fi will be provisioned in the form of a voucher which the Customer will receive by email to the contact email address provided by the Customer to BT.

(c) The Customer can connect to BT Wi-fi hotspots via the BT Wi-fi application downloaded from the relevant app store supported by their device subject to the BT Wi-fi application being available for the Customer's device. The Customer can enter the credentials into the BT Wi-fi Login screen in their browser when they connect to a hotspot or by using the BT Access Manager when using the BT USB Modem Device.

(d) Roaming using BT Wi-fi is not available with the Service. Roaming (which means using BT Wi-fi partner networks in the UK or abroad) can be obtained via a BT Wi-fi International Voucher which can be purchased at www.btwifi.com/buy. The vouchers are subject to the terms and conditions available at http://www.btwifi.com/terms-and-conditions/conditions-for-wifi-service.jsp.

Note 4 - BT Business Mobile Care

BT Business Mobile Care applies to all Connections and includes:

(a) Dedicated business support: Access to the BT Business Mobile customer service teams.

(b) Within warranty replacement of Devices: the manufacturer's warranty on Devices is provided via BT - where a Device is faulty within the terms of the warranty, BT will replace this with an equivalent Device by the end of the next working day. BT reserves the right to supply refurbished devices.

(c) 90-day early upgrade: Customers can choose to upgrade their BT Business Mobile plan up to 90 days before the end of their Minimum Term, which may include a new Device dependent upon the plan chosen. Any outstanding Minimum Term remaining at the point of resign will be added to the Minimum Term applicable to the new plan.

(d) Out of the box: Access to help and resources to get started with BT Business Mobile, including Device set-up and transferring content from other devices

4. BT Business Mobile Extras

Part 4 of Section 10 b of the BT Price List sets out the BT Business Mobile Extras available with BT Business Mobile Broadband and the terms and conditions (including the charges) which apply.

5. Usage Limits

A usage limit may apply to the Customer's account and/or SIM Card, but it is the responsibility of the Customer to monitor their mobile spend.

International Roaming - in order to comply with EU Regulation BT may apply a usage limit for data ("Data Roaming")*. This limit will be applied to the SIM Card and will apply per billing month. The user of the SIM Card will be sent 2 alerts (or a pop up where the user is using a USB Modem Device**) advising them that they are approaching the limit set by BT and providing guidance on how to contact BT about the limit. Upon reaching the limit, the user of the SIM Card will receive a final Text alert (or pop up**) advising that the Data Roaming will be suspended unless BT is contacted by the bill payer/Account holder. Please refer to www.bt.com/mobileeu for more information about these limits and alerts (pop ups**). Contact details for BT will be included in the alert (pop up**).

*the Data Roaming default limit is set at 50 Euros, when applying this limit BT will use the exchange rate published for this purpose at www.bt.com/mobileeu.

**In order to receive the pop ups, the Customer must download the latest version of BT Access Manager software (version 85 and above). This is available at www.bt.com/btam.

Please note that some devices (those without Text functionality) may not receive the alerts and therefore when using such a device, monitoring of usage by the Customer when International Roaming is essential as the Customer will be liable for any charges.***

*** For some devices a pop up or Text notification cannot be received and the Customer must check the Device Configuration Pages for messages. For the BT Mobile Hotspot Devices, please refer to the User Guide for information on how to log in to the Configuration Pages.

6. Conditions

(a) General

The Contract for BT Business Mobile Broadband comprises:

  • (i) This BT Price List;
  • (ii) Conditions for BT Business Services (BT1130);
  • (iii) Service Schedule for BT Business Mobile Service (BT1147);
  • (iv) The Welcome Letter where this states it forms part of the Contract or the Charges Schedule where one is provided; and
  • (v) The Annex to the Service Schedule (BT1147a) where the Customer's Contract includes a service or option listed in the Annex.

The Conditions and Service Schedule can be found at http://www.bt.com/terms (or any other url that BT advises to the Customer) under the heading: Mobile Service (Business).

(b) BT Business Mobile Extras

Where a BT Business Mobile Extra is applied to a Connection, the Contract will incorporate the terms and conditions applicable to the BT Business Mobile Extra (as detailed in Part 4 of Section 10 b of the BT Price List).

(c) a GSM Gateway must not be used with BT Business Mobile Broadband, more information can be found in the Service Schedule for BT Business Mobile Service (BT1147).

(d(c) BT Business Mobile Care is provided under the Customer's Contract for BT Business Mobile Broadband:

  • (i) All dates are estimates.
  • (ii) Replacement of Devices is subject to the terms and conditions applicable to the warranty, details of which can be found in the Service Schedule for BT Business Mobile Service.

7. Termination Charges

Where the Customer terminates the Contract, the Service, part of the Service or a Connection during the Minimum Term of any Connection, the termination charges detailed in the Welcome Letter (where this states it forms part of the Contract) will apply. Where such a Welcome Letter is not received, the termination charges will be as detailed in the Charges Schedule.
