Subpart 2:Call Minder Multi - Business and Residential Customers

Call Minder Multi is a voice messaging service allowing access to voice messages associated with a BT fixed line and up to 8 nominated BT Mobile/BT Fusion phones. Voicemail messages will be held on a central mailbox. Call Minder Multi allows customers to retrieve messages left on the BT fixed line and/or a nominated BT Mobile/BT Fusion number.

ELIGIBILITY

Call Minder Multi is available to all BT fixed line customers on Direct Digital Exchange Lines (not UXD5 exchanges) and who have a telephone, handset(s) and/or fax.

Call Minder Multi can only be ordered by phone. To order, a customer must dial from the BT fixed line where Call Minder Multi is required.

A customers must have a TouchTone phone.

A customer must have a contract with BT for BT Mobile Services or BT Fusion or both for one on more mobile phones.

All messages set up on Call Minder Multi will be available via 1571. All other BT Call Minder options will be deleted on activation of Call Minder Multi.

Call Minder Multi is not compatible with a small number of BT fixed lines and BT Mobile/BT Fusion mobile phones. Any relevant information will be provided during the ordering and set up process.

There is no charge for retrieving messages from the BT fixed line on which Call Minder Multi is provided. Where messages are retrieved remotely, normal call charges apply.

Retrieving message from a mobile including BT Mobile/BT Fusion will be in accordance with BT Mobile/BT Fusion contract voicemail retrieval rate or other Network Operator rates.

Rates for accessing Call Minder Multi messages from overseas, from mobile phones or from other UK Telephone Service Providers are set by the relevant service provider.

Callers leaving a message on the Call Minder Multi service will pay call charges at the normal rates.

Call Return (1571)

If a customer has the facility to dial 1571 (Call Minder Multi, Call Minder, BT Answer customers) on their line and retrieve messages, they will be able to dial 1571 followed by 0 to return a message.

Where a customer attempts to return the call by pressing 0, an additional charge will be incurred in addition to the normal dialled rates. In these circumstances the additional charge relates to the provision of the return call attempt and applies irrespective of whether the call is answered or not. Please note that Customers registered with BT as disabled are not subject to this charge. (to enquire about this register call 195).

Customers can withhold their numbers on a per call basis by prefixing that number with 141. The permanent number withhold facility will withhold the numbers for all calls.

Call Return is available to all single line customers. It is not available on PBX lines. Additionally, this service may not be compatible with certain types of payphone.

CONDITIONS

  • 1.Call Minder Multi is provided under Telephone Service - "Your terms and conditions for residential service" or "BT's Terms and Conditions for Business Service".
  • 2.There is no minimum period of service.
  • 3.The Customer Service Guarantee Scheme does not apply to Call Minder Multi.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The charge for retrieving voicemail 1571 from BT Mobile/BT Fusion phone is provided in the customer's BT Mobile/Fusion Contract.
