Each KiloLine circuit comprises of a Local End and a Main Link to a designated charging point.

*The following Kiloline speeds have been withdrawn from new supply - 2.4kbit/s, 4.8kbit/s, 9.6kbit/s and 19.2kbit/s.

Eligibility

Any BT customer who has the need to link premises under BT's jurisdiction to premises within the jurisdiction of the designated Other Administration (OA).

Pricing Information

All prices quoted are shown exclusive of VAT.

Charges for KiloLine Digital services to OA's are for the UK Portion of the circuit only and constitute a Local End component plus a Main Link component to the designated charging point and includes the line terminating units at the BT end.

There will be additional charges made depending on exact circumstances or special customer requirements, e.g. for circuits served Out-of-Area via extended tails.

Measurements are based on the straight-line distance between the KiloStream serving exchange and appropriate charge point.

Connection Charge

Charges for infrastructure over and above standard requirements are given in Section 45 Part 1 These charges include work on internal trunking & traywork; breaking through walls; additional poles, ducts and cables; radio charges and miscellaneous non-standard or specially requested items. Site connection fees are required where 2Mbit/s line plant is required to provide service. As such connection charges are subject to site survey. Details of the Site connection fees applicable are contained in Section 12 Part 4 These charges are in addition to those quoted below.

If service is required at a Non-Served premises. See Section Part 5

On migration from an Analogue Long Term Contract, a reduction in the connection charge of £100.00 will apply.

On conversion from Analogue services a reduced connection charge of £225.00 (exc VAT) will apply.

Change of Interface Options

Customers may choose to change their existing individual KiloStream terminations to KiloStream Aggregate Interface (ITU-T-G.703/4). It is a commercial requirement that a minimum of 15, 64kbit/s channels must be connected. Channels of less than 64kbit/s will need to be rearranged.

Conversion from KiloStream and KiloStream Plus individual provision to KiloStream Aggregate Interface (ITU-T-G703/4) a single payment charge of £1635.00 applies.

This charge covers the cost of changing to aggregate interface and reconnecting the associated KiloStream 64 kbit/s circuit to that specific aggregate interface If carried out at the same time. Moving circuits to or from the associated KiloStream Bearer on other occasions will incur the associated Re-termination charge.

Re-termination of circuits/channels not to be connected to KiloStream Aggregate Interface (ITU-T-G703/4) a single payment charge of £109.00 applies. In addition, a visit charge may be applicable see Section 15 Part 7

Where there is no existing usable line plant there is an additional charge for connection of line plant. For details on the charges raised please refer to Section 12 Part 4 detailing Singleton and Multiple site connection fees.

Customers wishing to change from KiloStream Aggregate Interface to individual circuit terminations will be required to pay the additional KiloStream Bearer connection charge and the connection charge for each KiloStream circuit routed over the KiloStream Bearer (See Part 3 of this Section)

Upgrade of 2mbit/S Delivery Interface Presentation

The charge for Upgrade of 75 Ohm unbalanced ITU-T-G703/4 (BNC) to 120 Ohm balanced ITU-T-G703/4 (RJ45) interface per 2Mbit/s end is £325.00.

NBFor customers with newer G703/4 equipment who require upgrading by software changes only, Timescale rates will apply instead (see Section 15, Part 7)
