Full Fibre broadband delivers a fibre connection direct into your home, for ultra-reliable, ultrafast speeds up to 900Mbps. This is the UK’s most reliable broadband technology.
It’s up to 25x faster than our standard fibre broadband, which uses fibre cables to your street cabinet, then copper cables to your home.
You might also have heard Full Fibre referred to as FTTP (fibre to the premises).
See what broadband you can get with us on our broadband deals page.
The best way to check whether you can get Full Fibre in your area is to check our broadband deals page through its postcode checker. Full Fibre is being rolled out across the country, with more areas being added regularly. If you can’t get Full Fibre yet, we’ll show you your other broadband deals, and you can sign up to hear when they're coming to your area.
Part Fibre broadband uses fibre cables to transmit signals to your street cabinet, then copper cables to connect to your home. It’s also called FTTC (fibre to the cabinet).
Full Fibre, also known as FTTP (fibre to the premises), uses fibre all the way to your home. No copper cables. This is the the UK’s most reliable broadband technology, with speeds up to 25x faster than our standard fibre.
Full Fibre isn’t available everywhere yet, but thousands of UK homes are being connected every day.
FTTP stands for fibre to the premises. It uses fibre cables all the way into your home. This means it can deliver ultrafast broadband speeds up to 900Mb, and makes it the UK’s most reliable broadband technology too.
FTTP isn’t available everywhere yet, but it’s being installed up and down the UK. Our FTTP broadband is called Full Fibre.
FTTC stands for fibre to the cabinet. Also known as part fibre broadband, it uses fibre cables to a cabinet on your street, then copper cables the rest of the way to your home. FTTC broadband isn’t as fast as FTTP, but you can still get superfast speeds up to around 80Mb.
At BT, our Full Fibre packages are FTTP, and our Fibre packages are FTTC. See what broadband you can get with BT

Your broadband is your connection to the internet, and all the things you can do and access online. It’s delivered to your home via fibre or copper cables. You can see what broadband you can get with us on our broadband deals page.
With broadband, you can get online with a wired connection (by plugging in to your router with an Ethernet cable), and a wireless connection (your wi-fi). Wi-fi is the technology that allows you to get online wirelessly, with wi-fi enabled devices like smartphones, tablets and laptops.
If you find your wi-fi doesn’t reach everywhere you want it to at home, you can extend your signal with Complete Wi-Fi.
Selecting a Full Fibre broadband deal is very similar to choosing any other type of broadband offer. You should focus on speed, whether the broadband can cope with your usage needs. Cost, ensuring it fits your budget. The length of the contract, making sure it meets your duration requirements, and any additional bundled features that enhance the deal.
